Ovum donation is a procedure that makes it possible for a woman to become pregnant and give birth using the eggs of another woman.  Your willingness of women to donate their eggs makes it possible for countless intended parents to realize the dream of a family.  Egg donation has been happening for several years now, and each year more and more women decide to financially benefit themselves and their family by giving this gift to someone else.

It is important to realize that your participation as an egg donor will make an emotional and physical impact on your normal schedule and family life.  The decision to become an egg donor should be made after careful consideration about what will be expected of you.  It is also critical that you include your partner (if applicable) and family in this decision-making process.  Although our staff is here to help you in any way possible, there are several personal responsibilities you will have during the process, such as traveling, attending medical appointments and taking fertility medications.  In order to increase the chances that the intended parents achieve a pregnancy, you must follow the strict instructions that are set for you by the physician.  This will include taking injection medications daily and attending up to four medical appointments on specific days prior to traveling.  The intended parents must be able to trust that their egg donor is commited and reliable.  We will never be able to stress enough how special your willingness to be an ovum donor is to the intended parents we work with.

We invite you to look further into our ovum donation program.  IARC® will be pleased to discuss what being an egg donor with our agency will mean for you and answer any questions you have.  Please call us for more detailed information.
